So after the holidays I started to put together and play with my first Joomla 1.6 site and I found that many of my favorite extensions were not available yet.
This post wil be a place where I keep tabs on the status of the standard extensions I use on Joomla sites. Some of them you may use and some you may not. If you would like and extension added to the list contact me and I will see what I can do.

Akeeba Backup
This one is was easy, Akeeba backup was ready on day one

This extension has a beta release that works in Joomla 1.6

Joomla 1.6 Extenstions Close to being Ready
JCE
Version 2.0 will be Joomla 1.6 ready, hopefully by the end of January.

The Joomla 1.6 compatable release should be version 2.3.
Beta 2 of this release should be out in a few weeks (as of Jan 21, 2011)

RSForm

NoNumber Extensions

This will be available for Joomla 1.6, have not been able to find an estimated release date.
RSS Extension
Ninja Forge has a great extension managing RSS feeds. Ninja RSS Syndicator. Can not find any information on when this extension will be available on Joomla 1.6

Joomla 1.6 Template Availablity Status
Not many templates available yet. I may start another post about all available Joomla 1.6 templates.
